The Challenge

Three billion people

Your support will help us achieve a financially inclusive world.

Three billion people live in or near poverty. They are left out of, or poorly served by, the world’s financial system. Without access to financial tools, like savings, credit, and insurance, their ability to manage their lives, weather shocks and seize opportunities is limited.

Join us to create a world with economic opportunity for all.

With safe, high-quality, affordable and accessible financial services, people can improve their own lives, as well as those of family members, employees and neighbors in critical ways—better nutrition, regular schooling, or simply a roof that doesn't leak.

The Sustainers Society is a special group of loyal supporters who demonstrate their commitment to financial empowerment by making monthly gifts to Accion which provide a consistent foundation of support. You can join the sustainer society at https://give.accion.org/page/contribute/sustainer-society.

The Accion Women’s Network highlights and celebrates the impact of the financial assistance that Accion provides to female entrepreneurs in developing countries and in the United States. The network serves as an outlet for stakeholders to discuss topics related to women and financial access. We ask that members contribute an annual gift of $1,000. Guests are welcome to join events.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

The President’s Circle members are the leading donors to Accion’s annual fund. Members provide vital philanthropic support allowing Accion to guide, influence, and expand progress on behalf of the financially underserved. Members enhance Accion’s visibility and base of support by championing Accion to their colleagues, friends and communities. We ask that members contribute an annual gift of $5,000.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Members of the Thought Leadership Council have a voice in developing Accion’s annual research agenda and serve as an important sounding board during the analysis process. Participation on the Council provides a meaningful opportunity to support Accion’s most innovative work in a way that’s both rewarding and requires only a modest time commitment. It also ensures that Accion remains a leading advocate for financial inclusion and affords us the resources to challenge the industry, protect clients and pursue cutting-edge innovations that improve financial well-being at the base of the pyramid. We ask that members contribute an annual gift of $20,000.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Remembering Accion with a bequest from your estate will help sustain and strengthen Accion for years to come. You can make a bequest to Accion by including language in your will or living trust, leaving a portion of your estate to Accion or designating Accion as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy. For more information, please call Leslie Puth at 646-833-4541 or email at lputh@accion.org.

Accion welcomes tax-deductible contributions in the form of securities. This is a particularly powerful way to support our work by contributing appreciated assets without incurring capital gains taxes.

Shares Held in an Account

You will need to instruct your broker or banker about your wish to give securities to Accion. Specify the type of stock, the number of shares that you are donating, and the date by which the gift should be transferred. In order for your broker or banker to transfer the securities electronically, he or she will need the following information:

Accion’s Broker: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
DTC Number: 902
Credit Account Number: P72500
Account Name: Accion International
Account Number: Q86236009
Accion’s Tax ID Number: 13-2535763

Because DTC information often does not include the name of the owner of the assets, it is important that you notify Accion of this transaction so that we may properly credit you with your gift. Please contact Erika Eurkus at 617.616.1559 or via email at eeurkus@accion.org or have the individual performing that transfer contact her directly.
